The brief
We Alif mentors Pakistani students for three to four years toward fully funded degrees abroad. The site had to explain a long program, publish honest fees, and give families something genuinely useful before they ever speak to a mentor.
What we built
- “How many months do you have?”: a planner that turns a student’s class and target countries into a dated application timeline
- Career Studio: pick interests and working style, get fields to explore and a small project to try
- A live directory of open scholarships with countdowns to each deadline
- A transparent fee breakdown, with a subscriber price toggle
- A pixel-art mascot and an accessible design system with a “pause motion” control
Details worth noticing
Tools first
Families get a dated plan and a deadline list before anyone asks for a phone number.
Typography
Bricolage Grotesque headlines with DM Sans text and a pixel label face for tags.
Color
Royal purple with a highlighter yellow, used for meaning rather than decoration.
Performance
Lighthouse 91 on mobile despite the interactive tools.
