The brief
Geofrey K Kosgei is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a veteran. He needed a website that makes a first appointment feel less daunting: clear about what the practice treats, honest about how care works, and easy to act on from a phone.
What we built
- A hand-built WordPress theme, no page builder
- Crisis line (988 and 911) at the top of every page
- Areas of support: anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, and military and veteran care
- A four-step “how it works” section written to lower first-visit anxiety
- Click-to-call and appointment requests on every screen
- Local SEO for Pueblo, linked to a verified Psychology Today profile
Details worth noticing
Voice
Plain, warm sentences. “Four steps, and none of them are a test.”
Typography
Cormorant Garamond headings over Inter, so it feels personal and still reads easily on a phone.
Color
Deep evergreen and brass on soft paper whites, closer to a quiet office than a hospital.
Performance
A 298 KB homepage that scores 92 for mobile performance in Lighthouse.
